PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! STRICT HYGIENE!

  • INHALATION
    		• Convulsions. Dizziness. Headache. Nausea. Unconsciousness. Vomiting.
    		Ventilation (not if powder), local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED!
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES

    		• Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Sweep spilled substance into containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus).
    		Separated from strong oxidants. Cool. Dry. Keep in a well-ventilated room.

     COLOURLESS, ODOURLESS SOLID IN VARIOUS FORMS.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes (hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides). Reacts with strong oxidants causing fire and explosion hazard.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: 0.5 ppm; 2.8 mg/m3 as TWA (skin) (ACGIH 1991-1992).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     No indication can be given about the rate in which a harmful concentration in the air is reached on evaporation of this substance at 20░C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance may cause effects on the nervous system. Exposure at high concentration may result in death.
